You can use the word "dying," and I'm going to use it too, but let's be clear: what I did on Halloween 2022 to stop Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight was an act of love, not death.
I did it because I loved the Green.
And I did it because I loved Harley Quinn.
And it was literally easier to flake off into nonexistence than to tell her how I felt.
Or: Poison Ivy died saving Gotham from Scarecrow's Cloudburst. Two and a half years later, the Green returns her in a body that isn't quite hers. Ivy has only one thing she wants to do: find Harley, and finally get an answer to the question she asked before she died.

Though despite his best efforts, his children also have an important role to play in the battle for Gotham's soul-- one son trying to mend the wounds of his family, another trying to find his place in the family, and the third lost son trying to find his way back home.

Rated higher teen because of canon typical violence and Jason Todd's canonical mouth of a sailor.

Three months into a silent protest against Bruce Wayne. Twenty-five minutes into a limo ride to see Swan Lake. Two bourbons into a conversation he did not want to have. Tim Drake is twenty-three, no longer engaged, and would like Bruce to stop bringing up the Cloudburst.
Bruce keeps bringing up the Cloudburst. The actual problem is a community college student named Stephanie Brown, but Tim isn't going to lead with that.
There is another girl he will meet tonight. The Swan Lake program spells her name both C-A-I-N and K-A-N-E. That is the least of her problems. The one she needs Tim for is not on the program.
