And by being given a second chance at life thanks to Marcella, wolf and bat must now learn how to be good and learn how to get along with their new friends while memories of their past life slowly start coming back to them. Will they get used to their new rag doll bodies and learn to be good people this time? Let’s just hope it’s possible.

When General D. took Marcella's place, he wanted her to be the Bat, so she became the Bat.
HEY just to reiterate i am not trying to romanticize any of this as some people have tried to point out. all of this is gross and scary. it’s supposed to be gross and scary. i don’t condone any of this behavior EVER. this is a way for me to explore my own trauma and a fuck you to the people in my life who have manipulated me in the same way the general manipulates the bat. clear? cool.

Being Darkness is a dull job. General D. must operate mostly in the nighttime, only working in daylight in times of emergency and crisis. To be Darkness is, literally speaking, just that. He is one with the darkness, in most cases, to bring new souls into his army. Working with just the din of midnight's stillness leaves him ample time to meditate--no, ruminate--on his position in his travels. Granted, often, his right-hands killed that quiet, whenever he had right-hands, but even when he has none, or just finds peace, these thoughts occupy him instead. He supposes it comes with his rank, and he shouldn't be one to complain.

Unfortunately had to bend canon a little bit (a lotta bit), so consider this a sort of rewrite of the scene after intermission.
