All That: Still Into You
Fics that I find myself rereading over & over & over & over &... (because my other collections for stuff I reread a lot got too long; there's just too many good fics out there!)
A mix of fics I consider particularly well written (my favourite from The Good Stuff) & fics I just like, for whatever reason (fics I read even more often than the rest of the All That collections)

When the Wayne family is stuck in a comedy of errors of their own making because everyone learned to read but no one learned to comprehend. -

Summary
Tim was patrolling a little too close to Crime Alley for his liking, but he would be careful.
Hood still hated and despised him, and the Bat clan wouldn't help him for anything. Tim wasn't one of them, had never been one of them, but that was ok. He accepted that.
Tim just had to be more aware of his surroundings tonight and make sure he got home in one piece. Easier said than done in Gotham, but he was Red Robin, and he could finish tonight's patrol without issue. And really, the chances of him running into Hood on a Friday night were slim to none...

Summary
May realised a very long time ago that Buck was basically her stepbrother. So, when the lightning strike finally provided the impetus for Bobby to admit that he also brought a kid into their family, she had every intention of seizing the opportunity to properly integrate Buck into the Grant-Nash family.
And, look, if in the process she also gains a brother-in-law… clearly the universe was just waiting for the opportunity to make that happen.
-
Or, the one where May ensures Buck is enfolded properly into the Grant-Nash clan, which means Bobby (and by extension the firefam, because gossip) suddenly gets significantly more insight into the inner workings of the Buckley-Diaz family, and all roads lead to Buddie…

Two Nickels: Bobby & Buck (& Eddie) are(n't) just coworkers - Athena's Mom thinks Buck is Bobby’s (& Eddie’s) (she's not exactly wrong)
----
People never realised that Buck was hiding things from them; they always assumed they would be able to tell if he wasn’t being honest. What Buck was good at was keeping secrets. His skills lay in never revealing that there was anything to ask about which meant he was never put into a position where he had to lie. It was why the 118 had no idea Maddie existed until two days after she’d arrived in LA, it was why they hadn’t been aware of how terrible her ex-husband was until he had literally stabbed Chimney and kidnapped Maddie, and it was why it had taken months for them to learn that Buck had made the decision to attempt therapy again. -

Summary
Izuku Midoriya and Hitoshi Shinso are never going to be the kind of heroes that make civilains think ‘oh, thank god we’re saved,’ when they arrive at the scene. There's too much prejudice against them, so a kid with a villain quirk and one with no quirk at all are never going to be able to inspire that sort of trust.
So instead of becoming heroes that bring hope, they decide to become the next best thing.
The kind of heroes that make villains think, ‘oh, fuck, we’re screwed.’
This fic has a discord.

Kyoka <3
---
One for All focused on strength, obviously. Anyone who had ever seen All Might fight could see that much, but at the same time, Kyoka just couldn’t bring herself to believe that’s all there was to it. Quirks just weren’t that simple. Take her own quirk for example. Sure, it enhanced ehr hearing, but it also allowed her to project her heartbeat, not to mention the fact that it had a mutation element to it as well. It didn’t fall into a neat little category because her quirk wasn’t a one trick pony and she was pretty sure that was true for most quirks. One for All shouldn’t be any different. All Might was a strong hero, but his go-to solution was usually to punch things, which meant that for him, the solution was always to have bigger muscles than his opponent and force his way to victory by sheer strength and force of will, but...well, as much as Kyoka hated criticizing All Might, that didn’t always work. When she was singing, muscling through a difficult passage could do more harm than good. Instead of trying to get stronger in that case, the best thing to do was improve the technique and airflow so that she got a good quality sound without hurting herself. It was the same with her instruments. A guitar could be made of the strongest wood on earth, but if the player didn’t know how to use it, it would still sound terrible. There had to be some technique elements to using One for All that she should be preparing for in addition to just building muscle.
