Summary
My collected Horatio Hornblower fics, focusing on Archie Kennedy and the back-, behind-, and between-stories I imagine for him.
I write dark, and I ramble. My boys, Arch especially, do not behave well or love well. Terrible things happen to them, some of which I describe. There is conflicted homosexuality and rape and vicious psychological trauma. My interest in these characters is how to string together the pieces we see on the screen, and the sexual emotional relationship lots of us like to imagine, into a satisfying, if tragic whole.
Presented in chronological, not written, order. All the fic are titled (or re-titled) with quotes from poetry and plays. Pre-canon are from Shakespeare and Sheridan. All the Justinian-era fic are from William Blake.

I filled the following promt from the Les Misérables Kink Meme:

And when I asked if it was alright to add some arousal to the fear, this was the reply:

So I wasn't shy and did my worst. Montparnasse gets threatened by a man he steals from and, even though he's more frightened than he's ever been before, he gets off on the situation.
Confession: This is the only kink I've been kink-shaming myself for, and I did it even after posting this, blushing and thinking "I'm going to hell for this". Why kink-shaming myself? Because I felt like a bad person who got off on fictional characters being scared. Then I realized; people's kinks doesn't define their character, also, the fear-kink went well with my other strong kinks: vulnerability and wet clothes.

Summary
Murphy's a survivor. Always has been, always will be. No matter what life throws his way, he struggles through, and he keeps on going. Honestly, some days his perfect track record with overcoming calamity is the only thing that keeps him from giving up. And he has overcome so very many potentially life ending disasters, some that weren't even his fault, too.
Like this latest one, being locked up in a facility he doesn't even know the name of. No one will tell him where he is, or why he's here, which isn't a good sign. Couple that with Murphy being no stranger to jails and knowing at least in general what day to day life should be like, and he can tell pretty easily this is no normal jail.
Government black site, detainment camp, ultra max - it doesn't matter what term they're using, the end result is the same. Even if there was anyone out there looking for him - which there probably isn't, beyond a few gangs he's screwed over - they would never be able to find him. He's off the grid, at the mercy of a government that he's never been on particularly good terms with.
Just another thing to survive, at the end of the day, and Murphy knows exactly how to do it.
