Rocky, please. I’m trying to spare you right now.
Basically, Grace gets exposed to a dangerous amount of radiation during an EVA and doesn't want to tell Rocky bc of what happened to Rocky's crew <3
THIS IS A REWORKED VERSION OF "TEMPEST" - after some comments, I wanted to keep the soul of the story, but make it more scientifically plausible. While there are still probably some inaccuracies, I still hope this isn't as messy as before.

Born with many inherited health issues, Merlin Emrys had dedicated much of his life to environmentalism and vigilante hacking. He is hired as a token environmental adviser for Albion Enterprises LTD in the aftermath of a tell-all book published by the CEO’s daughter. There, he meets Arthur, the CEO’s son, and is swept up into a whirlwind friendship and blossoming romance. It’s something he never intended — especially since he plans to hack the company from the inside. And, most especially, because Merlin is determined to be single for his entire life. But, he is drawn to Arthur, and Arthur is drawn to Merlin. They fit together. It's almost like they are two sides of the same coin. With so many things separating them and yet so many things drawing them together, Arthur and Merlin's destiny remains uncertain. Even as, once again, the future of Albion (Enterprises) rests on both their shoulders.
This fic is dedicated to those of us in the Merlin fandom who deal with serious chronic illnesses, whether mental or physical.

It brings a sense of homeliness he hasn’t felt since he last smelled the generic brand shampoo his mother uses. It’s home because he knows it intimately, because it held him when nothing else could. It’s home because he has no doubt it loves him.
Standing together in his doorway, holding each other because it’s the best they can do, Spencer and Emily come back to each other. It may be dependency, it may just be natural. But it can’t be wrong. It can’t be.

Mindy shrugs. “It’s fine. We all get sick sometimes.”
She considers it a sympathetic response, but the ensuing look she receives from Cliff is as if she’s just accused him of adultery. “I’m not sick.” He assures her, laughing a little at the apparent absurdity of the claim. “Not today.”

Whumperless Whump Event Day 5- Wheezing
When the call comes in, everybody in the ER is hoping it isn't Coop. Especially Neela.
Severe asthma attack. 26 year old male.
Somehow, because it's his day off and he really ought to be relaxing, it seems almost impossible for him to find himself back in the hospital as a patient. It just… isn't fair.
That doesn't stop the wheels of the gurney from rolling through the doors, though. Doesn't change the fact that Coop is laying half-conscious on top of it, his quick, shallow breaths fogging a nebulizer mask, his skin so pale it looks ashen.

Foggy’s crouched down by the man’s head before he even realizes what he’s doing, one hand on the edge of the mask ready to pull it off. Before he can, though, the man moves, quicker than Foggy thought he would be able to, based on the state of him, and grabs Foggy’s wrist in a surprisingly gentle hold. With the other, he pulls out a phone – a familiar phone, an eerily familiar phone, Foggy recognizes that phone – from his pocket and pushes it into Foggy’s hand. The man coughs out, “F-Fog…Foggy…Call– call Peter, don’t call anyone else…Call Peter…” and then promptly passes out, grip going limp around Foggy’s wrist. The words were said quietly, choked out between bleeding lips, but they ring loud in Foggy’s ears, as if they were yelled not five inches from his head. Despite all the evidence, despite the face, and the phone, and the voice, and the words that voice spoke, Foggy still can’t help but feel a shred of disbelief, of denial.

Joan could do the sensible thing and gently but firmly turn him down. But she’s wanted Morse for quite a while now, and she’s sick of denying herself. Besides, he looks so hopeful that she can’t quite bear to break his heart. She invites him up.
Canon divergence starting from the final scene of Season 5 and covering S6, in a slightly alternate universe where Morse and Joan's relationship is closer, but that doesn't mean anything is easier.
