Summary
Alma grabs the TV remote and starts pressing buttons. The TV goes black for a split second before it goes bright pink. It takes a moment for Ed’s eyes to adjust, but once it does, Ed can feel his stomach sink down to his toes.
On the screen looks like the cover of a generic PowerPoint presentation. There are cliparts of hearts, kissy-faces, and blinged-out rings plastered everywhere. Smack in the middle are bolded white text that reads:
TOP 10 REASONS YOU SHOULD PROPOSE TO OUR DAD (STEDE BONNET): BY ALMA AND LOUIS BONNET

Ed can't imagine his life being any more perfect. He has a beautiful home, a wonderful partner, and two brand-new kids to boot. The last thing on his bucket list is to propose to his long-term boyfriend, Stede Bonnet.

“Um. My school does a Daddy Daughter dance at the end of the year, every year. It’s gonna be this friday, and. Um,” Alma pauses, like she’s trying to find the words to fit her voice.
Ah. Ed sees now. Alma wants to take Stede and Doug to the dance and probably feels bad for leaving Ed at home. Obviously, Ed understands. Those are her dads, he doesn’t want to intervene. So Ed prepares himself to be understanding, to reassure Alma that she isn’t being rude or hurting Ed’s feelings.
But then Alma drops the second biggest atomic bomb of his life.

Eventually Stede just left the house in the middle of it all. He remembers Ed calling after him. “Stede- Stede! Don’t fucking run away from me again-” But before he knew it, he was already outside and walking down the dirt road to sit down. That was about an hour ago. The sun is disappearing over the horizon now, and Stede is mentally figuring out where he can stay for the night.
There’s no way Ed wants him back into their home. Not at this rate.

Lucius makes a face, shooting a judge-y look to Ed as he sets down the glass and picks up a martini shaker, “Damn, didn’t know you were such a baby-hater.”

Edward Teach as never been more obsessed with someone as with his new boyfriend, Stede Bonnet. He's sweet, funny, and undeniably charming. Not to mention he's the best lay of Ed's life.
There's only one problem: he has kids.

Summary
The first night Stede Bonnet awoke, Edward Teach was quiet.
Instead of the usual scheming upon his awakening, Edward stayed at his desk and watched from far across the room as Stede took in his surroundings.
Stede didn’t stay too long in one spot, instead hopping right off his platform and wandering around the halls and introducing himself to everyone in sight. Izzy could see it in his head; Stede Bonnet in his laces and frills having the nerve to tell everyone that he’s a pirate.

Summary
It's been six months since Stede Bonnet faked his death and ran off to the sea for true love...six months of fruitless leads and wild goose chases it seems.
Ed is still nowhere to be found, somehow just one step ahead of him at all times. He's tired. His rescued crew is getting restless. Morale is low on the Revenge II.
In a moment of severe desperation like he's never felt before, Stede finds himself indulging in a "magic potion" sold to him at a shady market that supposedly "helps you find what you are most looking for". Despite doubt from his crew, Stede takes the potion in hopes it'll help him find Ed.
The next morning both Stede and Ed wake up on each other's ships, still miles away from one another...
in each other's bodies.
Chaos ensues.
