Summary
There was an angel in the Garden. Or, at least, Crawly assumed it was an angel. There were only 6 occupants within the walls of Eden—2 humans and four angelic guards for each of the gates. The two humans, called Adam and Eve, had dark skin and black hair. The figure that Crawly was watching from the bracken had neither of these traits. By process of elimination, it was therefore an angel.

“I'm old enough to do a lot of things,” Daniel steps in closer with a cocky little smirk. He's almost taller than Armand, but has a way of twisting his body until he's looking up at him, putting himself into a submissive role. His heart rate speeds up. Armand wonders if he's aware that it's fear, not arousal, that makes his body react this way. Daniel's mind seems to be confused on the point.
Armand leans over Daniel's shoulder, looking at the array of handkerchiefs on display. “I see that.” He can feel Daniel's breath on his neck as he reaches over and pulls at the end of one of them, tugging it out. “What is this one for?” he asks, waiving it in front of Daniel's face. It's bright orange.
The boy shrugs, his grin even wider. Satisfied. “Anything goes. If you pay enough.”
Armand raises his eyebrows. “You shouldn't give people blanket permission to do anything they want to you. Some people are monsters.”

Summary
The night stretches outside, and Lestat starts tracing lines against Louis’ thigh. It’s tender at first, only a faint touch. He watches— eyes intent on Louis’ face, looking for his reaction. Then he cups him on top of his pants.
Louis stops him with a gentle hand on his wrist.
“Not tonight,” he breathes. “Soon. But not tonight.”
Lestat eyes him with confusion. “Why?”
Louis answers with a knowing look and a sweet kiss. Their lips meet so softly, so gently, it almost makes Louis cry.
“Because you don’t need to please me to be loved,” he finally says against Lestat’s mouth, heart on his throat. Lestat freezes. “Let me hold you.”
