    Summary

Robin Buckley hated Hawkins for this smug, small-town amnesia. She hated its quiet, washed-out streets, its manicured lawns, and Mrs. Kelly with her inevitable petunias on the porch. She hated that life went on — methodically, foolishly, without permission.
    Without him.

    Summary

Steve Harrington wakes up in his childhood bedroom with the memory of dying still burning in his veins.

    Hawkins is quiet. Too quiet.
    It’s November 6, 1983, a date that should have changed everything, and somehow… didn’t.

Everyone is here. Everyone is safe.
The monsters are gone. The scars never happened.

And Steve is the only one who remembers a future that no longer exists.

    Summary

This story was originally posted as part of the What If collection, but I felt like it has outgrown it.
For those who aren't familiar with it, it's practically a complete rewrite of the third season, based on the concept of: what if Robin were straight and actually had a crush on Steve in high school? It contains a lot of dialogue and scenes from the show, but I've added my own original scenes to make the story flow better.

Please don't read it if this concept makes you uncomfortable, it was probably just not written for you.

    Summary

Steve and Robin, fleeing for their lives as the Creel house begins to tear apart, are swallowed by an unstable gate that opens beneath their feet. Instead of landing back in Hawkins—or anywhere familiar at all—they awaken in the frozen mountains of 1943 Norway. Confused, freezing, and miles from home in every possible sense, they soon stumble upon a strange yet capable young woman who might be the only person that can help them return home.

    Summary

“If only we could just, like, combine.”

Steve gives her a skeptical look, “Combine?”

“No, think about it.,” She says, “I know exactly what I want, and I’ve found the girl of my dreams but I just can’t get the courage to ask her out. And meanwhile you go on a million dates and you have no idea what you want.”

He hums in agreement. Robin continues, “So if we just combined…”

    “Oh…”

“All our problems would be solved. Because I mean, alone- let's face it.”

    “We totally suck.” Steve says.

    ‘Totally and utterly.” Robin agrees.

It’s supposed to be a silly pipe dream. Key word being supposed.

Or, the truth serum wasn’t just a truth serum and now Steve and Robin find themselves mind melded together. They can read each other's minds, feel each other’s feelings, see each other’s memories, and more. Eventually, say, in the Spring of 1986, they’ll discover one more trick the Russians left them with: The ability to fuse into one singular being.

A platonic Stobin-centric Together (2025) inspired retelling of the events of Stranger Things.
