Summary
Original Female character- Tes x Steve Harrington
When the party gets some extra help during season four from a mysterious girl (Tes) while El/Jane is in Cali, it turns out they will take all the help they can get. They don´t trust her, but how could they when she can´t seem to tell them anything that resembles the truth- the only thing they know for certain is that the number on her wrist isn´t like Jane's, and once they save Max, they´ll figure out why.
When Jane and Will return from Cali to thank the girl who helped save Max, they realize that they both seem to know her. Sticking together, they are going to battle Henry one last time and finally put the past behind them.
With Jane gone at the end of season five (but not for long) the party takes this as a personal betrayal of the promise that everyone was coming back alive and leave Tes on her own. Everyone except her, now brother-in-arms- Will Byers. Together, they move to NY and meet up with Jane- they turn to a career in the spotlight so that no one can ever harm Jane or any of them again.
The party, several years later, finally turns on the TV and realizes how badly they messed up at keeping their friends-turned-family safe and close.

Will Byers, Zombie Boy, Vecna's Spy. Will holds as many titles as he does secrets. His secrets plague his thoughts, and he can only imagine the kinds of titles he'd recieve if they were to be revealed.

It'd be worse than coming back from the dead and being a spy for evil. He'd be something wrong, dirty, used. These secrets can never come to light, which means Will needs to pack it all up and forget. Which is harder than it sounds.
It's been years. Years and Will has been successful in his attempts to keep it all quiet. And yet, after Vecna's attack on Hawkins, Will is unable to take his mind off of the old memories he thought he'd locked away.
Mike is the only problem, really. He's too nosy for his own good, and too observant when he shouldn't be. And as luck would have it, Will is found by Mike when he's deep in a memory.
Shit's being drawn to the surface, and Will doesn't know how to stop the pot from boiling over. He can only hope that when it all spills out, he won't be getting burnt.

ulovechlorine and VTOKKI wrote this because they decided that they’re so fed up with the way that canon treated Will Byers in Stranger Things: Season 5 that they pour all their hopes and dreams into a complicated sci-fi-thriller-romance-frankenstein Stranger Things: Season 1-inspired Byler Fanfiction (Will Not Found Alternative Universe) that takes place 4 years after (almost all of) the events of Season 4.
In other words, almost everything that transpired in the canon--after the start of the last episode of season 1--takes place without Will.
At this point, Dustin, Lucas, Mike, The Byers, The Wheelers... they all are starting to perceive it as a fact that Will Byers is dead, and gone forever.

He looked back up into his eyes. The same eyes he had looked into on their last day together.

Instead, it appeared as if Mike speaking awoke something in Will as Will’s emotionless eyes suddenly shot up along with the shotgun flying back up into his hands, shooting right past Mikes head, straight through the tree he was still leaned against.
