“Uni Krinstall, hm?” The announcer hummed. “What a strange last name. I’ll bet most capitol citizens don’t even know what a krinstall is. Would you mind telling them?” He held the microphone in front of her face.
Uni narrowed her eyes but forced herself to school her expression into something more calm, more blasé. “Sure. A Krinstall is what I’ll be when I burn all you capitol assholes at the fucking stake.” She spat, having no remorse for the gun she heard being loaded only a few feet away.
“You’re really so full of fire for someone who’s appearance is more akin to that of a wilting flower.” The announcer stated, eyes glimmering. “A wilted, burning flower, perhaps.”
Uni gritted her teeth but said nothing, ever-aware of the gun she knew was aimed at the back of her head. She knew she had it in her to say more, but she told herself that now wasn’t the time.

Summary
This was information that Tubbo surely knew: he was typically awake the earliest of the three. Still, he shuffled on his feet, wings fluttering in turn.
“You’re sure? I wouldn’t mind waiting.”
Phil shrugged. “They won’t mind if we eat without them. Besides, I was hoping to talk to you.”
At that, Tubbo froze, arm halfway extended towards a plate. His eyes were fearful, wings postured defensively, but his voice was eerily neutral as he spoke.
“Is everything alright?”
Or, Phil learns something about his sons best friend, and does his best to make everything alright.

Summary
Exposition and lore dumping in the middle of a story isn't great cause it interrupts the story. However: I love a good lore dump, in a designated space for it. Prepare for random references to various pieces of fantasy media, probably much of it Wings of Fire. Also prepare for me not always knowing what I'm talking about, I don't normally do this type of worldbuilding.

Summary
They were all coping over Ranboos' death in their own ways. Techno was pretty sure that Phil had dealt with it as he had Wilbur, ignoring it until he physically couldn't any longer. Niki was constantly baking, trying to forget it happened. The only reason he knew that was sometimes he'd find food in his house that he knew wasn't there before. No matter how many times he locked the door, it always showed back up.
Techno… had just fallen into some state of depression. It was a little like how he reacted when Wilbur died, but ten times worse because while Wilbur was a friend of his, Ranboo had been his mentee. The kid he was supposed to teach about the ways of anarchy and how to war with someone without violence and use only your words.

And making the weird apparitions on the walls disappear, Ranboo thought, as he noticed an eye embedded into the wall behind them, staring them down.
Or, Ranboo is a normal college student, and Tubbo... is not that.

Getting him through the door of his room was another hassle because Phil was just as strong as him and clutched onto the sides of the door. He supposed that this was the one relief of Phil being sick. He could peel Phils hands off the door way easily, to deposit him in his nest bed. Despite the fact that Phil insisted he wasn't sick, he watched his friend relax and almost melt into the sheets. Just like Wilbur would always do when he was sick.
"If you tell Niki or Ranboo, I feel sick, I will flay you alive." Phil muttered, curling back up in his bed and hiding under his wings.
It was a little endearing. It wasn't often that Phil tried to hide under his wings because while they were the perfect size to do so, Phil never had anything to hide from.

Sasha, Tim, and Jon are friends and magic students at Downing Hill Public Library. Enter Martin, who just escaped from Dreaming Box Polaris and was immediately told he was a witch and sent here. We follow Martin as he struggles to survive a dangerous school and deadly missions, Sasha and Tim as they try to adopt Martin into their friend group, and Jon as he tries to convince his knowledge god patron that chasing omniscience is a good idea, actually.I currently have chose not to use archive warnings selected because I think some of these warnings (namely graphic depictions of violence and maybe temporary MCD? will occur later but I am terrible at planning or plotting fics and no warnings apply YET so its a bit up in the air)

Okay so.. tws for self-injury (past, this is the aftermath, but there's a lot of discussion of it), eye trauma, hospitals, maybe panic attacks (im not sure what strictly defines a panic attack I looked up the symptoms and I think this counts but it's panic at the very least)
Edit: I've been thinking a lot about how Jonny said he was trying to be really careful about how he framed Melanie quitting the institute and be sure that it wasn't her being blind that he was using for horror. I don't feel I had the same level of carefulness here. I won't delete this fic unless people say it's upsetting them, but I also don't want to hurt or disrespect disabled people, so I just wanted to leave a little disclaimer that I'm not totally happy with how I framed this. If you keep reading, do so knowing that. I do think the main point of the horror here is that if Jon left the institute he would probably do it in a really impulsive and fucked up and guilt-driven way and it wouldn't go well from there? I just don't know how to separate that from the playing disability for horror, which I wish I hadn't done.

The ghost possession scene was one of the most egregiously ruined ones in Lightlark. It's SUCH a good concept, the idea of a ghost wanting to possess a living person, just for a short timeframe, to experience life again- and the book made it all about Isla being hot and the ghost wanting to possess a hot girl.
I'm framing my rewrite of it as a little silly; it does devolve into Isla and Oro fighting because they each want to be the one possessed, but I'm also trying to get out some good Isla, Oro, and Innil (that's what I'm naming the ghost) characterization.
Tw for mild gore and I think that's it?
