No matter what the goons at Hydra do, no matter how often they recalibrate the Asset, the song is always there. Always in it's head. A woman singing.
No matter what everyone says, Tony Stark doesn't have a Soulmate. It's fact. Sometimes a song pops up in his head, but it's nothing like everyone describes it. Just a catchy tune, nothing else. But no melody or song comparable to his Soulmate. So, he just doesn't have one. No big deal, right? No one who loves him unconditionally. Yeah... no big deal.

Mix a recovering POW in, and Tony doesn't know what's up anymore, and he's not sure he's worth the trouble of figuring it out.

The Battle of New York was meant to go differently. Or maybe just slightly different.
In reality, it turned out the actions made that day would change a future that could have been. When Thor approaches Tony on the helicarrier, with no intent to fall in love but simply show appreciation, the course of history chose a different path. Thor and Tony changed. And as a result, Loki and Bruce's fate changed as well.
Simple attraction grows, bonds grow. Love grows. And the determination of a bond to survive and develop is one of the most powerful things in the world.

When an annoying bard starts following him, Geralt decides to let a few of those behaviours out in the hopes of scaring him away. Instead Jaskier accepts all his oddities without hesitation.
