Shroud's your average school student. Has tons of friends, talks to ghosts, almost dies to supervillains a few times, gets embarrassed when his teacher of a father cries about how old he's getting (come on now, 17 isn't nearly old enough to cry about), and everything in between. Sure, he's got a few extra hands up his sleeves and can see the future a little bit, but that's not the most important aspect of his life. In fact, probably the most important aspect is the mysterious girl in his class who he's so far failed to befriend too many hundreds of times to call it a simple fluke. But he won't stop trying. Besides, there's something special about her, Shroud can feel it deep inside him. As if her and Shroud are destined to do... something.
But things begin to go even further sideways when Shroud begins uncovering things about his father that he never thought he'd find before. What's a starborne, who's Creation, and what does any of this have to do with... villains, fireworks, and the inexplicable urge to blow up..??

TLDR; Its a hybrid AU! Where humans mostly suck, but some are chill and the Dream SMP gang is a group of mostly hybrids who rescue other hybrids from the black market. They rescue Foolish and Eret, and there's a lot of angst and character relationship shenanigans!! :D I wrote 30,000 words in three days. Help.

Or Runaway Tommy fic post revival because Wilbur sucks and there's no way Tommy's raising kids in a toxic, war-prone environment. Also, he works as the Gods' personal janitor, cleaning up unholy messes they call monsters.
