Dream and George have been best friends for years. They have played games together at least once a week and call every day. Despite the time zone gap (5 hours), they always find time for one another. They can trust each other with everything, including secrets that have never even made it to the ears of their other best friend, Sapnap. With late-night calls, everything is perfect, but it all starts to change when their minds catch up to their hearts. What's the line between platonic and romantic? What's real and what's just a joke?
This takes place in 2022, and I keep it somewhat accurate to what happened irl but i wasn't a fan then (I was in my fan hiatus for them)
I've been wanting to write a fic for so long, but I really only read dnf, the few fics I have written are dnf, so this is dnf (embarrasingly). This is also inspired by Heat Waves and Helium by the GOAT tbhyourelame/dakota. This is also inspired by my past experiences/relationships, so buckle up. This is a playlist fic, so a song a chapter.

Dream ran as he pushed past people, not caring if they fell or stumbled. The brown haired man was shouting to the blonde kid who was too frightened to move. Dream broke through the gasping crowd, who for some reason weren’t rushing to help the kid, cowards. Dream leapt in the air before he could think as he wrapped an arm around his waist and an arm shielding his head.

A voice. Was that… dad? Oh- nevermind, it’s the brunette man. Just Dream being dramatic and thinking he died. The brunette man was saying something… but what?
Dream couldn’t hear him.

At that word Dream snapped his eyes open. No way in hell was he going to a hospital! The bills would make him work his whole life to pay the hospital debt.
