This is a Harry Bosch fanfic based on the 2014 show Bosch not the book series. I'm sure you can still enjoy without having seen the show (because I haven't even completed it). This takes place a little bit before the show starts when Bosch is still a Robbery Homicide detective.

Summary
The key to several murders in Los Angeles and Chicago lies in Voight’s and a former partner’s past and present. What they find is a family secret that spans all the way back to the Depression in two countries and two cities, involving at least four families
Murders in LA bear the hallmark of Los Temidos, as well as murders that took place in Chicago in the near and the distant past. To solve the murders, cops in LA and Chicago will need to work together.
Maddie Bosch and Kim Burgess will work in their respective cities to solve the cases before more murders occur. All while both are reeling from incidents they are trying to put behind them, including the kidnapping of Kim’s daughter and her subsequent schism from Adam Ruzek, as well as something that Maddie won’t talk to anyone about.
