COMMOCT FRIST CHAPTER
I'm 100% with you on the whole Doc only has the Hornet as a car deal, but I disagree with it being barley running. After Doc fixed it up, he started to keep expert maintenance on it. To the point it was an abstention. In a way it helps keep his drive to race alive, but it also reminds him to never go back since the crash destroyed his car. By the time of his death the car is spotless, and Lighting is now in charge of maintenance and is at the same pace Doc was about it. Not driven by racing passion, but out of respect for the car that made both him and Doc's career. Most people think it's holding on by a thread, but a video mysteriously pops up on Dinaco's YouTube page and it's of the Hornet ripping up some dirt track. I just love the idea that Doc's car just refuses to die. In some way it has Doc's soul in it and if the car didn't fail on him after the crash, then it ain't failing on Lighting and his family.
Yet again this does come from my experience of having one blue jacket that got ripped once but now has a patch and refuses to go down without a fight.
