Summary

Determined to avert disaster, Ozpin locates the lost assassin in Vale. He offers to help Daud rekindle the Outsider's Mark, providing a chance to start anew as a security guard at Beacon Academy. Under strict surveillance, Daud must protect and guide the next generation of Huntsmen against a looming threat, while hiding the darkness of his past. Nevertheless, the list comprises all the reachable Elves who have been slain by Fëanáro and his sons, and in addition many of those who might be considered to have suffered more indirect or partial harms from the conduct of Fëanáro's line."
"And every single one of them has agreed that they forgive Fëanáro for his part in their suffering," Curufinwë finished, smoothly.

The House of Finwë is returned from the Halls, except for one notable exception (well, two, but Aiko won't come). Fingolfin has mustered his many fractious relatives into an enormous effort to petition for the release of his brother, and the time has come for him (and, for some reason, Curufinwë) to bring their petition to Mandos.
As always when dealing with Fëanáro, the plans immediately implode and everything is much more difficult than anyone had expected - Valar included.

Hope is fled these lands, their many fates already clear and predetermined. A slaughter comes, that will leave almost none standing. Such is the will of prophecy, destiny and all the powers of this land. All beings of reason should realize so.
But Fëanáro Curufinwë already defied the order of one world. He has no intention to bend his knee to another.

Summary
The next thing he knew was light, brilliant and golden as if from Laurelin itself. He blinked, shielding his eyes instinctively until they adjusted. The light source was nothing natural like a tree but a great orb of fire which hung in the sky, menacing those below like a great eye. So the Valar did not need his Silmarils after all, it seemed! They had done well enough without.
Fëanor is returned from the Halls of Mandos and placed into the provisional care of his adopted grandson for further healing. He grapples with adjusting to the Fourth Age of Arda and confronting the many elves who are apprehensive about his return. At least his grandson shows some promise.
