The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
In 2023, Shane takes a bad hit on the ice. When he wakes up, the last thing he remembers is a tuna melt.

Legato coughs, finally managing to take in a shaky inhale right as his head is starting to spin.
“What’d you do?”“You gotta be more specific, three days’re long.” Razlo sneers in response, before putting his hands up and intercepting Legato’s incoming protests. “Buuut if we narrow it down to the past like- hour or so, Beast got us to Octovern!” He moves aside and points up towards the sky, where distant lilac lights are beginning to shine over a city.

Summary
After a run-in with humans gone horribly wrong, Knives is sold off to a plant engineer who needs a new power source for his town and has other, more sinister, motivations.
Legato, having successfully freed himself from slavery and slaughtered his abusers, now seeks out slavers and settlements that support them and makes them pay for their crimes.
Eventually, he rescues Knives, and the two begin the arduous process of helping each other heal.

Summary
Vash and Wolfwood take on a job: fix a stranger's car on the edge of a desert town, collect the money, and move on. They work in near silence, talking only about bolts and wiring, both pretending that everything is normal — except that nothing has been normal for a long time. When the sun begins to tip toward the horizon, Wolfwood asks a simple question about the future, and it slowly turns into a conversation about what kind of person you'd want beside you. Before either of them realizes it, they're both dangerously close to saying out loud what neither of them has dared to say before.
