The girl- Mabel, supposedly- knows all about his muse and their dalliances because she is, also supposedly, his great-niece from the future. While he does not want to reunite with Stanley necessarily, she essentially blackmails him into being nice when he arrives. Because apparently Stanley is coming to his house. Joy.
