When suddenly, he felt something dislodge from the back of throat.
This was it. It was happening. The best he could do now was damage control.
He knelt down onto the spruce floors his hands latched onto the dry wood.
With one final, wracking cough, something came softly tumbling out from his mouth.
It wasn't vomit, nor blood, nor anything that would normally come out of someone's body.
It was a flower.
A gentle, soft, pure white, angel's trumpet flower.

Summary
Mapicc shouts and swears, furiously accusing with sharp hurt in his voice. He’s accused Spoke of so much wrong that rings true, but it tears something up in him that his friend thinks he did this too. This is one sin he did not commit, could never commit, he could never doom Mapicc to the hands of Null.
But they’re here all the same. Their blows rain down as Mapicc falls and Spoke cries out, hating everything but hating most that he doesn’t know if they’ll first break Mapicc’s armor or his body.
He can’t die. Mapicc can’t die. Please.

Theo made a sleepy noise of confusion, and an expression washed over his face that was untellingly full of remorse.
“No it's not.” He murmured.
This was karma for leeching onto Billy for refuge, allowing himself to be guided by such a creature, and taking out his frustrations on innocent players as the shoebill had taught him to do. How he allowed Billy to strip away the sliver of humanity he had left to pour it with even more violence.
