Summary
"All it is is a leap of faith," Peter B. Parker says, eyes earnest and wide, and Miles wishes it were that simple.
But it’s not, it’s not, because when Miles leaps the glass catches to his hands and shatters, comets flaring into life in the mirrored light of New York below before being abruptly cut out, and he falls and he falls and he falls, down, down, down.
Except- he’s not- he’s rising, he’s soaring, and the city has never looked so beautiful and his heart never so full.
Is this how it feels, he thinks, to be alive? And for a few perfect moments that last forever Miles believes Yes, it is, with every molecule of his being.
(Or: Life is complicated, and grief is complicated, and being a child hero is complicated, but the point is that we try.)

Summary
Dr. Strange’s spell shoved Peter Parker sideways and backwards through time instead of erasing the world’s memory of him after the Battle at Liberty Island.
Suddenly, it’s 2016. May’s alive, Thanos has yet to inflict mass-trauma on the entire universe, and with the help of a really good lawyer, Spider-Man grows to be the working class hero that New York City deserves.

Summary
Wade doesn’t “<3” NY. In fact, he hates New York. It smells like shit, the sewer rats are the ones who really run things, and Jay Z was only partially right; it’s a concrete jungle where dreams are made of, except there’s nothing you can do.
So after Weasel, Domino, and pretty much the entirety of Sister Margaret’s decided to relocate to an old bankrupt Blockbuster Video on Manhattan’s east side, Wade almost didn’t go with them. Except he absolutely did, because he likes paychecks. It’s totally not because he’s pathetically lonely and would miss his friends. His negative opinion of New York is proven to be 42069% accurate when, within a month of moving, he’s kidnapped by a new off-brand Weapon X group that immediately puts a microchip in his skull to control him.
There is one good thing about New York, though, and he's snarky, wears unfairly tight red and blue spandex, and lives rent-free in Wade's head. Unfortunately, 'Temu' Weapon X wants their brand-new microchipped immortal murder slave to find Spider-Man's identity and all of his weaknesses.

Summary
He focuses on her voice over the pain and rapidly dwindling oxygen. It sounds like she’s walking as she speaks—he can hear her footsteps. She says he’s earned his freedom. More than that, he’s a hero. She tells him it’s a good day: for humanity, for him. He wants to believe her.
The footsteps stop. A moment of silence, and then—“Why isn’t he out yet?”

Simon gets the data. True her word, Ava pulls him out. It’s not necessarily over after that.

Summary
“Does it matter which eye?” Brian asked, anxious.
“I mean.” Robin directed him around the corner, then through another door. “Do you remember which eye you used?”
“No.”
“Then we’ll try both.” Robin seemed to think about it for a moment. “I’m glad you mentioned that. We wouldn’t have taken both eyes in Plan A, and then we would’ve had to backtrack. Would’ve fucked the plan.”
“I feel like Batman probably doesn’t want you saying that word,” Brian said.
“Fuck Batman,” Robin said. Brian winced.
“Oh, yikes. Okay.”
or, a Gotham jailbird goes on a ride-along with Batman and Robin to save the day, and everyone has a better time than expected.
