“No more secrets,” he whispers. Niles’s brow raises. Odin’s face hurts from smiling so hard. “Finally, Niles, I can share everything. It’s over. We’re at the end.”
“Everything, hm?” he purrs.
“Everything,” Odin promises.
Niles leans in and whispers something in his ear that he can’t make out. The words don’t slot together, instead overlapping into a scrambled disaster.
“What was that?” Odin asks.
Niles repeats himself. Probably. He can’t tell. He realizes he’s confused, disoriented; the world around him is fading. He holds Niles tighter.
Then it begins.
After the battle with Anankos, Odin, Laslow, and Selena are all ripped from the lives they've built and thrust back to Ylisse with no way to return.
