The video opens with an air of domesticity and almost innocence to it that foreshadowed nothing of what would follow. A quick sweeping shot of a bedroom, lights low, before the camera settles on a man standing in front of a mirror. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. Ilya Rozanov is just finishing pulling the jersey over his head, abs and a trail of hair disappearing under a sea of blue. He turns to look in the mirror. It’s easy not to notice cancer, as a hockey player. Ilya is constantly sore from hits on the ice, takes six Advil every few days to deal with the joint pain. And sure, he used to only need two and a shot of something strong, but he figures that comes with getting older and the stress of missing Hollander, thinking about the rest of their lives stretched out between Montreal and Boston, never quite close enough to dream about something shaped like a future. Ten years was long enough. So he calls his agent to look into a team with more wiggle room in their salary cap–somewhere he can fall asleep next to Hollander more than five times a year, ideally– and books his flight to Ottawa. Two weeks at the cottage will never be long enough with Shane, he thinks, closing his laptop and grimacing at the pain flaring down his spine. But he takes a hot shower, nearly falls asleep against the bathroom tile, and he doesn’t even really notice it.

The first sound Ilya hears is a thin, discordant symphony of beeps and whirs. Something vibrating.
The next thing he hears is…wet. A sort of shaking, gargling sound, that feels like the ugliest crying he’s ever heard. And through it, Shane’s voice.
“I’m with him now, mom. He’s— he’s not fine. He’s not. I know—”
Ilya wants to ask who's not fine, but he can’t feel his own body, his mouth, enough to ask.
“Yeah,” Shane is saying, only slightly calmer. “I know. He wasn’t breathing—"
Ilya knows there's a link, between the clinical musicality of medical settings, Shane’s audible, awful distress, and his own physical incapacity. It’s just, it’s so tenuous, and the air around him is so thick, so heavy. It would be easy, to sleep, a little.

Sam inherits the Impala, and all of Dean's belongings, including his ghost, who's slowly figuring out how to do ghostly things like move things around to help Sam out and keep him safe. Now the world is short one righteous man to break in hell, and one Michael sword and Sam has to keep his dad from hunting his brother.
