In Zelda's defense, it really doesn't make sense. Sidon is graceful and princely and kind, and Link is… scraggly. The prince of the Zora was the last person she had expected Link to be dating. But here it lies before her, proof that Link had managed to capture Sidon's heart- and honestly, she still can't fully believe it.

I am too damn cold for this shit, Link thought. He stared down from the rock outcrop where he was perched. The sky was a pale gray, threatening rain or sleet if the temperature dropped any further. He could already feel icy flecks of spray misting down on him. He was out in the middle of nowhere in a desolate rocky barren canyon. A place so foreboding that even the birds looked miserable and they were the only animals he'd seen in days. He should have been alone out here.

But of course, the interpreter couldn't bring himself to say that, not if he wanted to make it out alive. If he told Reo the truth, he would probably start panicking and- and he’s seen the way Seishiro killed that bear with his own hands. It’d be better to just give him what he wanted—at least until they found a way to escape.Or: where reo, due to language barriers, doesn't know that he's being courted by seishiro.
