And it’s finally quiet, in the hospital. Dark enough without the overhead lights that the entire wing feels calm and his body doesn’t twitch uncomfortably at the constant surveillance he’s under during the day. It’s quiet, and he’s alone.
Every day that he’s been out of surgery, that’s about the moment Izuku shows up.
He’s less and less unprepared for the sound of his door being opened at this hour, the mechanical click from the handle and the heavy, low squeak of the panel shifting slowly ajar. It’s been about a week, now. Even the first time, Katsuki had a hard time feeling the shock he tells himself he maybe should have.
Instead, like every other time, he feels relief.

Summary

In which teenage Travis and Sal test the limits of their dynamic, and years later after drifting apart, Travis is called to cleanse Sal of his sins (him being one of them) before his execution, and they rekindle their teenage love before it's too late.
