    Ilya stared at Shane in bemusement. “Sounds… complicated for just sex. What, you going to spank me, tie me down?”

    Shane was silent at that. His eyes were steady on Ilya, his face determined.

    Ilya’s heart thumped in his chest. “Are you?”

    “I’m not going to hurt you,” Shane said. “I mean. I might bite and scratch at you a little, but no more than I normally do.”

    That did not answer the tying down part of the question.

    But if Shane wanted to try something new, Ilya could indulge him. This was Shane after all, Ilya’s sweet, desperate bottom. What harm could it do? It wasn’t like they didn’t both know how this would end, with Shane face down on the bed, begging for Ilya’s cock.

Although they did write some work related events on it to not draw suspicion, it was first and foremost used to indicate when Shane wanted Ilya to use him.     Shane Hollander is just trying to survive NYU biochemistry, hockey practice, and the graveyard shift at 7-Eleven. He's too exhausted to notice that his new regular customer is Russian mafia, or that Ilya's interest in him goes beyond terrible coffee and cookies.

    When Ilya hands him a $10,000 designer scarf and matching gloves, Shane doesn't panic. He sells them for next month's rent. Any normal person would be terrified. Instead, Shane uses the leftover money to buy a Hello Kitty watch, pastel pink, childish, utterly incongruous with the danger circling him. He wears it to his next night shift without irony or apology.

    Ilya notices immediately. He is fascinated.
