What is stopping him from jumping at the invitation? Maybe Eddie has just gotten too comfortable being single and by himself. Maybe at the back of his mind, he knows that if he can't make it work with someone like Alex, there's something seriously wrong with him.
Eddie says yes.

Summary
He doesn't like it when things get messy. He prefers clean breaks, and he deeply appreciates that this is the first moment that Sonny has even tiptoed over the line Rafael had drawn in the sand when he'd ended things between them. He doesn't want to encourage further intrusions, further boundary testing.
Except.
That's not really what this is, tonight. Even Rafael can see that. Sonny's so quiet, so withdrawn. He's hurt and hurting, and he came to Rafael because he didn't know where else to go.

"Sure thing," says Carisi, insufferably cheerful. Rafael glares him to the door, at which point Carisi turns back, hands resting lightly on either side of the frame, and says, "I like you, Barba."
"Oh, God," says Rafael. "What could I possibly have done to deserve such an honour? Please, tell me so I don't do it again."
Carisi grins and says, "You didn't do anything."
"Enlightening," says Rafael dryly.
Carisi just shrugs as he drops his arms and says, "You're you."
Rafael blinks at the empty doorway, paused for a long moment before he shakes himself out of it.

“Hey,” Sonny said during a lull in the day when it seemed like a good idea to ask the question he'd been pondering for a while now. “If two dudes get married, like, to each other. How many bachelor's parties do they throw?”
Rollins shot him an annoyed look from her desk. “What's that supposed to mean?”
He matched her look. “What do you mean, what's that supposed to mean? It means exactly what it sounds like. If two dudes get gay married, how many bachelor's parties do they throw?”
(As it turned out, the answer was two, but held at the same time so that one bachelor's party could crash the venue of the other one.)
