Summary
Since she’s a real person, she shouldn’t have to go with Joyce. Real people make choices; numbers do what Papa says. If she’s not a number anymore, then she gets to pick, and Jane wants to stay.
“I want to stay,” she says, trying to explain better, even though Joyce hasn’t understood once why she doesn’t want to leave Hawkins. “It’s okay that you want to leave. I understand. But I don’t. And I get to make choices.”

In light of a somewhat lackluster finale we've decided to scrap and completely rework the latter two seasons. Strap in folks we're gonna be here for a while.

Summary
The Upside Down is gone. The monsters are dead. Hawkins survived.
So why does the world feel like a poorly made copy of itself?
While Hawkins carries on pretending everything is normal, Will Byers becomes increasingly convinced that reality has developed a few... technical difficulties.
Mike Wheeler would love to believe it's all in Will's head.
The problem is, he's starting to notice it too.
As the cracks in reality grow impossible to ignore, Mike and Will are forced to confront a deeply unpleasant question:
What if the battle never ended?
If you're a fan of The Amazing Digital Circus, The Truman Show or the Conformity Gate theory you might enjoy this story.
Featuring: reality glitches, emotional repression, questionable coping mechanisms, and an unhealthy amount of dry British humor.
(Also comes with a really cool playlist. Probably.)

Summary
It was then that he understood Will had gone utterly still, his body no longer stirred by any tremor or spasm. He could not tell whether it meant that it was working, or that it was already too late. Still, he had to go on.
“I love you, Will. I love you.”
The words slid from his tongue with a disarming, almost terrifying ease, and under other circumstances, he might have flinched at their truth, at how utterly unlike that night in the pizzeria they sounded. But there was no room for such thoughts, not while Will was fighting for his life in his arms.
He pressed his forehead to Will’s temple and kept whispering those three words, over and over and over, until they no longer felt like words at all, but the only truth he would be able to speak from that moment on.Or
After the failed attempt to enter Vecna’s mind, Will is left dying in Mike’s arms. In a moment of desperation, Mike finally says the words — feelings he believes are nothing more than platonic. Unfortunately, El hears everything. Convinced that Mike is in love with Will, she broke up with him... in the middle of the end of the world.

Summary
And one cold night in his basement, when he turned to Will like clockwork, waiting to see the warm hazel shining with determination at their plan - Mike was the first person to notice. He always was.
Will, staring at Nancy as she spoke to the Party, pointing out spots on blueprints and commanding them in her plan -
without a glimpse of something in his eye.
It wasn’t anything too frightening, like when he’d been possessed and the light flecks of green in his irises had melted into a dark black. It was subtle and slight, and Mike was sure only he would’ve been able to notice it, considering how he knew the boy beside him through-and-through.
It wasn’t fear, or anger, or anything violent, just… a lack of recognition.
Or, Will is loosing his memories again, and Mike can’t do anything about it.

Summary
Will can handle monsters. He’s done it before. What he can’t handle is being seen too clearly, especially by Mike Wheeler.
When a “normal” movie night turns into a spiral, Will’s fear becomes Vecna’s favorite leverage: shame, silence, and the dread that love will turn into rejection. Mike wants answers. Jonathan wants boundaries. Vecna wants Will alone.
Unfortunately, Vecna knows exactly whose face to wear.
