He’d hardly undone one button on his waistcoat when a tentative knock sounded on the cabin door. He walked back to open it, expecting to see Lucius with another complaint about Wee John’s snoring. Instead, he found Ed, standing tense and uncertain a few feet back from the doorway.
“Oh, hello, Ed! Need something?” he asked.
Ed just stared at him.
“Erm, you alright?”
“Uh,” Ed said. He blinked. “Um. Can you get these bows out of my beard?”
