Summary
Shane Hollander finally gets the chance to say what he should've said to the Montreal Voyagers.
When Shane trips during the final play of the 7th game in the playoff series against Ottawa (and his soon-to-be husband), his teammates are less than supportive. Instead of walking away, Shane decides to say something.
When the Centaurs hear what happened, they invite Shane to go out with them in an effort to bring up his spirits. What ensues is a night of bonding and reminding Shane of exactly who he is. There's laughter, tears, and sentimental moments, and Shane finally finds the second family he always deserved from Hockey.

Set after the founding of the Irina Foundation, Shane and Ilya have to figure out how to survive on a desert island long enough to await rescue. Even if the island isn't the most dangerous part of their situation.

Each of them feels responsible for Tim’s disappearance, worried that he won’t come back.
Then, one morning, Tim shows up at breakfast as if nothing had happened, completely oblivious to the fact that his family had been quietly freaking out during his absence.
Or: Tim takes a vacation and comes back mentally and emotionally stable. The rest of the family, however, isn’t.

Summary
Ilya, against his better judgement, is in yet another boring midsize SUV and on the way to none other than Shane’s parents cabin.
Ilya knows almost nothing about these people. He knows Yuna abstractly. She is an excellent manager, cut throat, a force to be reckoned with, and the woman who singlehandedly secured the majority of Shane’s impressive sponsorship portfolio.
What he does not know, and what feels most important, is how the Hollander’s are going to take to the “gay son fucking his rival thing”. To be entirely fair, it’s a lot to absorb in an afternoon. But Ilya is not concerned with protecting the delicate constitutions of the elder Hollanders. Ilya is worried about protecting Shane. Supporting Shane. Showing Shane he chose correctly when he chose Ilya, despite everything that might point to otherwise.
And so, Ilya is resolute in his decision. No matter what happens, no matter what they say, he will focus on one thing: protect Shane.

Content Warnings
This is very clearly Rape/Non-Con. In this AU, Shane is also Underage by the standards of the United States (newly turned 17). This is not tagged because technically the age of consent in Canada is 16. Ilya is 35.
This AU will not have a happy ending. At best, it will be an okay-ish ending where Shane ends up with an extreme case of Stockholm Syndrome and is content to be whatever Ilya deigns to make him. At worst, Shane is going to be sold off or killed. I have not decided which yet, but just know that either way there will be no reciprocated love where they eventually get to a pseudo-healthy dynamic.

“We do not say anything about the Hollander situation,” LeClaire tells them even though it sounds like he’s already resigned to what he knows is going to happen.
After all, Roz gets extremely mad whenever it’s brought up. Not that Cliff can blame him, he’s pretty sure that Roz liked Hollander before this (wouldn’t chirp him half as much if he didn’t). Finding out that he’s such a bastard must sting.
Not to mention that Roz does not mess around with people that disrespect girls. Or women. Or kids. Or dogs. Or the elderly (excluding Scott Hunter). Or really anyone, if it’s for petty stupid reasons.
“Of course,” Cliff agrees for both of them since Roz is still too busy texting someone.
It’s apparently not good enough for LeClaire because he asks, “Roz?”
“Just one second,” he answers without raising his eyes from his phone or stopping his typing. “Need to get my Jane to agree with something. She’s very stubborn.”
Or. My take on the 'their text leak and now everybody thinks that Shane is an abusive bastard' premise. Featuring Ilya giving a presser, Marly realizing in real time who 'Jane' is and the internet reacting to the craziness.
