Pyke does not want to be here. In this cell, in this prison, in this stupid fucking sector— he'd rather be anywhere, anywhere else. He tries to keep his head down, plans to keep himself out of trouble for the months he's going to be in this hellhole, for Rett's sanity if nothing else... but it only lasts a single day. He never was good at laying low.
Ko does not want to be here. She's been in this prison for far, far too long, and would love nothing more than to get the fuck out of here— to beat up some more assholes and eat up all of Mrs. Ume's delicious cooking. And so, she's trying to keep to herself, trying to appease the guards and stay on everyone's good graces... and it was working, too. If only her new Solari cellmate had kept his stupid fucking mouth shut.

UNDER RECONSTRUCTION!
Doing a re-write of the first installation of this series and adding a bunch of content so there will be quite a few new chapters in addition to updates to existing ones in this portion of my "Learning to Live" series.

Spike survives his confrontation with Vicious. That's only the beginning of the continuing adventures of the Starship Bebop and its crew whose ongoing mission is to explore new cities, seek out new bounties, and ultimately to search for some meaning to life, the universe, and everything.

“Luffy, what’s he talking about? What’s going on?” Sanji finally broke the silence.
“His village is starving,” Luffy replied matter-of-factly from his perch on the desk, one leg up supporting his arm, the other dangling. “They’ve had a bad fishing season, their land’s dry, and the jungle too dangerous for them to forage in. They tried to fish further in the ocean, but it’s all lost from the storm.”
The room fell quiet after Luffy’s explanation, waiting for a response. The man whispered ‘please’ over and over as tears fell from his eyes, fingers tightening in the sheets. Sanji glanced around the room, hands tucked in his pockets.
Finally, with a shrug, he spoke, “Then we feed them.”

Or the Straw Hats are sailing away from Wano when they come across a shipwrecked survivor. When they take him aboard, the man begs them to help his starving village. Sanji steps up to the task and the Straw Hats make their way to the remote island.
