But when the older Ayatan receives a message from Loid, a message about a way to help free her younger self from the deal she was forced her into as a kid, a way to finally free her from grasp of The Indifference, she must leave it all behind.Drifter, named Ayatan Entrati in this story, ends up in Hallownest and has to settle down in bug society while adopting a pair of Void children she finds.
(Based on the Entrati family giving the player character the name/nickname Ayatan in a cutscene.)I've tried to make sure that anything that relies on prior Warframe knowledge is explain in-fic, so this fic is hopefully perfectly understandable even outside the Warframe fandom.
Having now written a bit, it surprises me how many things from the WF and HK universes keep fitting together like a perfect puzzle. They both have Void, they both have Wyrms, the soul sanctum/nobility in HK is super Orokin coded, This has been a lot of fun to discover. Is this how the Danny Phantom/Batman crossover authors feel?No generative AI because generative AI fucking sucks ass.

Summary
When the Infection ended without explanation, the Dreamers arose from their slumber, and the land of Hallownest began to drag itself back to life, Hornet knew there would be troubles yet to come. With most resources scarce, many of the surviving bugs left disabled by the disease, and the vast majority of agricultural infrastructure devastated, Hallownest may yet be undone: not by a higher being, but the mortal logistics of hunger. When scouts from Pharloom arrive and attempt to capture a Weaverling, Hornet sees an opportunity to turn what could be another disaster into a chance for Hallownest to recover.
Pharloom is, as always, starved for Silk. When the Grand Mother's wayward daughters are located, under the protection of a Wyrm, forcibly reclaiming them would be dangerous. Fortunately, Hallownest is willing to offer up its Weaver princess for marriage in exchange for supplies that can easily be spared. Accompanied only by her silent knight, such a creature will surely be vulnerable to the manipulations of Pharloom's court.

So what does she do now that she has control of her new life?
