Simon backs up against the wall before ripping the IV from his arm, brandishing the needle in his hand. “Who are you? Where am I? What did you put in me?”
“My name is Ryland Grace. You’re on a ship called The Hail Mary. We got a distress signal and I found you floating in the blood ocean out there. You were really badly injured so we tried to patch you up.” Ryland takes a step towards him but he presses himself further against the wall, holding the needle out to try and defend himself.
“How do I know this isn’t all just a hallucination? That you’re not that monster trying to trick me again?”

As far as most heel-face-turn villain-reincarnation subgenres went, Kisaki Tetta figured he got away lucky. He had been reborn as Tokyo Revenger's major antagonist before he could get to scheming and plotting. Now, all he had to do was play his role as the nerdy loner, keep his head low, and not get involved with the main cast. Whether Toman was still headed towards their doom or not, Tetta was sure that their crybaby hero would come swooping in to save the day.
That was until he realized that perhaps he himself hadn't been spared from the murky future that he thought he had escaped from.

Grace then dragged his eyes forwards in his focus to the reflective xenonite-glass. He looked at his marbled-white skin. His eyes, glazed over with a milky-blue. He traced the golden scarring down his chin, throat, then clavicle where it disappeared beneath a thin layer of silk and delicate jewellery.
