Summary
Over the years, as more and more things piled up, George created a false narrative.
His soulmate was a gamer. One who was kind but forgetful. They had a love for everything that was apparent in the way every object George possessed had a faint look of wear.
And as new things piled on—bags of American crisps, a toothpaste cap, a wrinkled sock—George’s soulmate started to look more and more like Dream.
A soulmate au where lost objects appear in your soulmate’s space.

Summary
There on the other side of the glass is the merman, who remains completely still other than the occasional flick of his beautiful blue tail to stay upright. The creature floating there in the water is eerie in the vastness of the blue surrounding him. He understands now what Sapnap meant about his eyes. They look human. They look intelligent. Those dark brown eyes watch every move Dream makes as he eases off the ladder.
The merman's top half definitely looks human other than a few patches of blue scales scattered over his skin and the gills in his neck. Brown hair floats around his head, loose and soft-looking in the water. The tail is absolutely beautiful, shimmering in the light with each slight movement. It's sky blue and brilliant against the murky blue of the water.
Or, Dream makes friends with the merman who lives at the aquarium where he works.

Sapnap goes silent, then: “Really?” He sounds almost concerned. “What did you do?”
“What did I do!” Dream splutters. “Nothing!”
“You haven’t done anything to piss him off?” Sapnap doesn’t sound like he believes him. “George is like—okay he’s not the biggest fan of people but I was so sure he’d like you. He does like his friends and he’s actually quite loud and rambunctious sometimes. He has no reason to be shy around you. I don’t know. Maybe you did do something to make him mad.”
Great. Lovely. Just brilliant. Dream’s been living with this guy for a month under a contract that says he has to live here at least for the next year or so and George has to do the same and they hate each other. Perfect.
Or Dream and George are roommates learning to live through the events of living with each other

Summary
Oh. George is in love.
When he does find his best friend and Madeline, they're not kissing, not hugging, not even touching. But George is sitting at a table with her and he's leaning so close to her with a glimmer in his eyes that Dream can't deny.
George, on the rare occasion, had gazed at Dream with a spark that felt like cautious want but the way he looks at her is different. He looks at her the way Dream knows he looks at him. He looks at her with infatuation and intrigue, like he can't get enough of her and wants to know more.
And the worst part of it all? She looks back at him with the same adoration, the same love, returned in full.
Dream found a love that didn't exist through George's eyes and even while he feels the shattering of his heart pour out over the club floor, he can't help but smile through tears.
Because George found love, just not with him.

George stares at him for a moment before he’s leaning forward on the palms of his hands and grinning wider than the curve of the moon shining behind a curtain of pink-turned-purple. “You think I’m a Betty?” He asks, light and airy as he giggles.
“Wh—I don’t know what that means,” Dream admits. The reds of his cheeks swirl and deepen.
“You think I’m pretty,” George offers.
Dream turns his gaze away, hoping the comforting cool air will hide the way his fingers tremble around the plastic cup in his hand. “I think you’re way more than just pretty.”

The door shuts. There’s shocked laughter from behind it. The door reopens. A hand reaches out to him, touches the front of his hoodie, presses into the fabric until it meets skin beneath. A hand reaches out and takes him by the shoulder. Wandering gold eyes trace him up and down and up and down and up and—
“I told you not to come,” Dream says disbelievingly. “I told you not to come.”
George laughs, his throat closing up around the sound. “Since when did I listen to you?”
Or, George books a spur-of-the-moment ticket to Florida in April 2022. What goes up must come down.

Summary
George winds up and whips the pitch into Sapnap’s mitt. Strike, right near the edge of the zone. The batter tries to swing at it but he doesn’t manage to get his bat on it at all.
Confidence begins to settle in. He can do this. He’s already thrown a strike, he just needs to throw two more. Then he can handle the next batter.
As Sapnap tosses the ball back to him and he walks back to his place on the mound, he makes eye contact with Dream. He’s smiling at him so wide that he can see his teeth. It almost feels like a comforting pat on the back from halfway across the infield.
George has played for five minor league baseball teams in about as many years so when he finally gets a chance to play in the majors, he intends on making the most of it. That means pitching his best on the mound and training constantly. It also means trying his best to avoid falling for Dream, the hotshot third baseman with a really nice smile. It should be easy, but things don't always go as planned.

“You’re all clingy,” George observes, far from a complaint. “D’you wanna go back to the hotel?”
George stops walking, turning in Dream’s grip to look up at him inquisitively. Dream doesn’t know if it’s the moonlight in his eyes or how effortlessly he’d sensed Dream’s sudden sentimentality or just some combination of the two, but when he opens his mouth to respond, he almost blurts out the words that’ve been on the tip of his tongue for weeks.
Marry me. The instant the thought occurs to Dream, he stiffens. Is this it? Is this the moment?

Summary
Both George and Death stare at the scale for a long moment.
“So, is this when I go to hell or whatever?” George crosses his arms, “Is it as warm as they say? I like a balmy twenty-five degrees, if possible; do they take requests in hell, or is it more the brimstone and pitchforks variety?”
Death’s shoulders roll back at his snide commentary. The hood has obscured the face of the end of his life from George for their entire acquaintanceship, and now one of those gloved hands reaches up abruptly and shoves the hood back.
George jolts back, mouth falling open, as hazel-green eyes glare at him. Death is strawberry blond and has curls for days, thick brows and a strong jaw. At least the grim reaper is cute.
“I thought you said this would be easy,” Death snaps at him, in a voice totally different from the softness of before.

George lives a shitty life and dies a shitty death, not that he minds dying too much. And then he a) meets Death, b) gets bitched out for not living well enough, somehow, c) gets brought back to life, and d) is forced to deal with a new roommate who wants him to do good deeds and live a fulfilling life for reasons George doesn't quite get.

“Okay, what do you wanna know?” Tommy pointlessly asks, because he doesn’t know anything. He doesn’t even know the answers to his biology homework (which he won’t be finishing in time now, sorry Dad ).
The Angel shakes his head. “T- The kid doesn’t know anything,” he says, and it almost sounds like a plea. “I swear.”
“Tommy,” the man prompts again, “Tell me the identities of The Syndicate, then you're free to go."
Tommy freezes.
“I’m sorry?” He sputters.
“He doesn’t know!” Siren shouts.
“Do you seriously expect me to believe that?!"

or, Tommy gets kidnapped by people who want to know the identities of The Syndicate. Only problem is, he has no idea, and is starting to worry that Wilbur, Techno, and Phil will be wondering where he is by now.

Summary
The boy is looking back at him from across the cove. His eyes are dark, pupils narrow like a cat's. His ears are slightly pointed but mostly human in appearance and in his mouth, held between two rows of very, very sharp and white fangs, a fish.
He watches Dream for a second more before ducking his head and diving into the darkness below. Before he disappears fully, a fanned tail surfaces and slaps the water. The birds and fish return to pick up the scraps George left behind.
