Tubbo’s- Tubbo’s here, or at least a version of him is, and goddammit Tommy missed him so fucking much. He hovers his mouse over the stream, biting his lip nervously, before taking the leap and joining it.
And fuck, Tubbo looks so similar that Tommy thinks he might cry again.
He doesn’t have horns, doesn’t have the long hair that covers half his face, doesn’t have the fucking awful scars that Tommy still hates himself for having let happen – but it’s still unmistakably him. His smile’s the same, he laughs the same – if a little brighter and less reserved – he brushes his hair back the same way and furrows his brows in concentration the same way and groans lightly in frustration the same way and-
It’s not him, but it’s still Tubbo, and Tommy can find himself loving this version of him already.

(Or: Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo find themselves reincarnated into the bodies of their streamer selves, and learn to live in a world that, instead of being cruel, is kind to them.)

Summary
“Be my apprentice,” Icarus blurted.
Tommy blinked. Gradually, the corners of his mouth dropped into the deepest frown he’d ever made. “What the fuck? Why?”
“Why?” Icarus froze and Tommy raised a judgemental eyebrow. “It’s because of your powers.”
“My powers,” he echoed. “I never told you whether or not I had powers.”
“I can… sense them,” Icarus bullshitted. Tommy pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Right. What are they, then,” he retorted.
“Uh… super… powers,” the villain answered, sounding more unsure of himself by the second.
Tommy wanted to bash his head against a wall. “Really? That’s the best you could do?”

Tommy isn’t sure why handing someone their keys is such a big deal, but now he’s left with a huge problem: Every supervillain in the city wants him to be their apprentice!

“Ranboo, do you remember me? Do you know who I am?”
Ranboo lashes his tail. Yes? No? He knows the human is familiar and comfort and happiness. But he does not know a name, or how they met before.
Ranboo shakes his head.
“Oh. Okay,” the boy takes a deep breath. Liquid glistens in the corners of his eyes, but he’s smiling when he looks back up. “That’s okay. I’ll help you. My name is Tubbo.”

Tubbo finds out about Ranboo's Enderwalk. This doesn't really change anything between them; Ranboo is still Ranboo, when he remembers and when he doesn't. Tommy's not so sure.
Ranboo, Tubbo, and Tommy cope with their trauma in different ways but they have each other's backs.
Set shortly after Tommy was revived in prison, and then diverges from Canon. Eventual happy ending!

“Why-” Dream’s mask turns at Ranboo’s croak. A few drops of rain dot the ground. His fingers curl into the dirt. “Why are you doing this..?”
“Because-” a foot kicks his chest forcing Ranboo onto his back. Dream slams his boot down on his chest, leaning over him casually. “You ruined my plans. I’ll be coming back in a couple of days to check on things. Who knows, maybe this will be a good lesson for you.”
Instead of Tommy being exiled for burning George's house, Ranboo is. He doesn't have a very good time.

“It’s just a boy,” Phil said quietly. Techno looked the child over again. Now that it was quiet, it seemed so gentle. Peaceful. “The storm is coming in fast. He’ll die out here if we leave him.”
“It’s a risk,” Techno muttered, fixing his grip on the axe.
“I thought the same about you,” Phil said, looking back at Techno. They locked eyes. Techno looked away first.
