Summary
Bucky always had Steve's back. He defended him and provided for him - when Steve couldn't afford it himself. He was just sick too often. But Bucky took care him and Steve loved him ever more for it. Now he didn't dare say anything about his feelings when he didn't even know how Bucky felt about guys in that manner. Until he saw him with a guy. What Steve didn't know was exactly how Bucky managed to provide for them both even with all the expenses brought on by Steve's poor health. Because he could never ever know what Bucky let those men do to him in order to keep his best friend breathing. Whom, after all, he loved like his own flesh and blood.
(Going along with canon, Bucky is a PoW and gets screwed by the Red Skull in chapters 7-10.)

Thus he meets the Elvenking and drama, romance, smut, jealousy and other complications occur all amidst the events of 'The Desolation of Smaug' and 'Battle of the five Armies', whereafter (spoilers) a short period of peace breaks against the discovery of a pathway back to Asgard. Summary
The premise of this world is that Dabi comes across Stain on the streets early and they team up to become the Hero Killers, plural, long before the League. They end up accidentally rescuing Shouto from Endeavor and then sort of taking him and Hitoshi in (long story). It’s also an A/B/O where Shouto has been severely abused by Endeavor, and the HPSC is super corrupt, and Hitoshi’s quirk gets progressively stronger and stronger the more he pushes it. There are some dark themes here, but the outcomes will be HAPPY ENDINGS.

After a moment of just staring at each other, Shouto gets up and goes over to their ratty couch, almost flopping onto it as he hugs Dabi tightly. Hitoshi joins him not a moment later, latching onto him like the little leech he is too. Dabi sighs one of his long suffering, what-have-I-gotten-myself-into sighs as he hugs them. He’s tempted to deflect from the seriousness of the mood by switching topics, by bringing up Shou’s impending thirteenth birthday, or by cracking a joke…
But in the end he doesn’t.
It sucks, but they need to be at least somewhat prepared for the idea that when Dabi does go out, it won’t be glory, but it’ll be a blaze.
