On the morning of the twenty-sixth of February in the year ninety-one of the Fourth Age, Dwalin, Son of Fundin, died.
On the evening of the twenty sixth of April in the year two thousand nine hundred and forty-one of the Third Age, it became quickly apparent that death was only a minor inconvenience.
Dwalin has another plan this time around. One that involves returning a certain piece of evil jewellery directly to sender before Sauron gains a foothold on Middle Earth. Maybe it’ll save a few people he cares about. Maybe he’ll get a little longer with his husband.
And maybe, just maybe, he’s not the only one doing this a second time over.

Nausea gnaws at Hal’s stomach. He stands up straight, stuffs his hands into pockets just to busy them. “Celebrian, I don’t think we should talk about this.”
A sharp exhale, disappointed and defiant. “I have my theories.”
“They’re probably right,” he sighs, defeated. “Don’t make me re-live all that shit now, it was bad enough when it happened.”
“She cried when she got your card,” Celebrian says quietly, picking at her cuticles. “She never cries.”
It’s not true, though he doubts Celebrian knows this. Galadriel cries on late nights when the bottle goes hollow and sunlight streaks the sky with shadows of the deepest plum. She cries when they slow dance to old songs on crackling records, face buried in his chest like she wants to be smothered. She cries on West End backstreets, arms crossed, glaring at a skip, smoke curling through her tangled hair like roaming fingertips.
There’s so much of her mother he shouldn’t know, and even more he can’t forget.

But what Galadriel finds there is only a mirror, or what she believes to be.
Halbrand Kementari had it all, until he lost everything he held dear to him. Now he tries his best to keep his struggling business afloat while still trying to keep himself whole. The people around him try but it seems like Halbrand is heading down a path of no return.
The two must work together to somehow get Galadriel on the Olympic team, and keep his business afloat or it is game over for them.

My first fic in the modern day and it was due to being doped up on painkillers from surgery. I make no apologies, just enjoy our 2 idiots in any age.
Newly single Galadriel gets on Bumble and meets (maybe) her match? Elrond thinks so at least, Gil just wants what Elrond wants and Elrond wants Galadriel to get laid, and Galadriel just wants to buy candles named vengeance and smells like victory. She finds Halbrand Maia annoying, so she matches with some others on Eragion's Bumble......but will she go back for Halbrand? Or just get another cat, or 2?
Again, not sorry, just enjoy it.

Of all his ridiculous ideas, snatching Melkor's crown was, beyond any doubt, the most ridiculous. Behold! Mairon the Maia, the king who never was, dim-witted enough to believe that an artefact infused with unpredictable sorcery was the ideal way of making his rule look legitimate. The time he spent with reforging the ugly thing would have been much better used with perfecting—and practising—his speech. Maybe then it would not have ended up in a debacle of epic proportions.
