And sure, everyone have a little secret in their lives, anyway, so it shouldn't be at all suspicious that a girl with no legal papers have a secret of her own...like the fact that she's from another world? It isn't like her being there brings about the end of the world or something.
Then...the circus rolls into town in middle of the night and pops up tents like mushrooms after a storm.
It isn't all that strange, really, even if the town is a bit creeped out by their appearances. But they are the Circus of Horror so being uncanny should be in the job's description. “Maybe next time don’t blame random people and make a public spectacle out of stupidity ey?” Maybe that was a bit rude but come one, no one wants to hear, nor see but Hannah doesn’t have to worry about that, someone screaming belligerently at some poor random person. The man must have gotten closer to Hannah because Codroe is now at her feet in between her legs, something he only did when someone was close to her.
“Don’t you people understand? These FREAKS are the reason people are going missing, open your eyes! Then you’ll see the truth!” Hannah snorted, she couldn’t help herself.
“Oh really?”
