Summary
Lottie just spawns into a town in Alaska one night and have been living there for the last 5 years of her life as a staff at a bookstore, painting and helping her friend/boss/landlord Raven rebind books for a living. Life is slow. Life is quiet. And sure, everyone have a little secret in their lives, anyway, so it shouldn't be at all suspicious that a girl with no legal papers have a secret of her own...like the fact that she's from another world? It isn't like her being there brings about the end of the world or something.
Then...the circus rolls into town in middle of the night and pops up tents like mushrooms after a storm.
It isn't all that strange, really, even if the town is a bit creeped out by their appearances. But they are the Circus of Horror so being uncanny should be in the job's description.
