“It’s fine kid.” Sun Wukong said, interrupting MK’s spiral. “Just tell me whats going on?”
MK hesitated. “Well, ok. Um, have you ever like, grown wings?”
“You mean like shapeshifted?” Sun Wukong questioned. “Well I’ve shifted into a bird before. I don’t really shift only parts of myself, but your powers work different, so don’t worry too much.”
“No, not like shifting.” Mk said nervously. Wukong could practically see his wringing out his hands. “Like, they just appear.”
Sun Wukong blinked in confusion. “Accidental shifting?”
“No, no.” MK seemed to be panicking even more now. “Like, they’re a part of me. I didn’t shift. I know what shifting is, this isn’t it.”
“Kid are you feeling ok?”
OR- MK randomly grows wings. Sun Wukong and Mei have to help pick up the pieces

Monkeys are a physically affectionate species, and when they need help, they go to their loved ones.
And so Wukong would go to his loved one, tug on inky black fur, and say “Please.”
