Summary
Rui chuckled with the voice on the other end when something caught his attention: a strange sound coming from the right side of the garage, where the door was. He paused, turning his head to look.
It was hardly visible in the dim light. A black, clumpy liquid. It crept into the room – or at least, he thought it did, it was difficult to tell from how scantily it traversed – from the space underneath the door. Rui squinted, watching diligently, barely paying mind to the - now awkward - silence coming from Tsukasa’s end.
It took him off guard when the liquid twisted violently, suddenly jutting from underneath the door. It seemed to be struggling to pull itself in entirely, the rest of its form outside the door. Rui immediately jumped up from his seat.
“Rui? Is everything alright?”
An infection had begun spreading throughout the city and Tsukasa was tired. Death and the arguably worse counterpart to it had been rampant. He just needed to get a cure, right?

Summary
For Freminet, taking the brunt of what he thought was an acid attack aimed towards Spina di Rosula's boss was nothing more than a split second decision. He wouldn't call himself a hero by any stretch of the imagination, and he wouldn't say he led his life with noble and virtuous intentions either...
...but when the urge to help someone comes to him, he ponders little over it. That's just what a good person would do, and Freminet desperately wants to be a good.
Still, maybe he should have paid more attention to just what was being splashed.
OR
Freminet dissolves into water. That really should have been the end of it, but it seems like the ocean wasn't keen on letting him go yet.
