    “Damian,” Bruce says, very slowly, “do you know someone named Jason Todd?”

    Damian frowns at him. “No?”

    “Real tall guy,” the Joker suddenly pipes up from the holding cell, “white streak in his hair. Kinda looks like Bruce Wayne, if you ask me!”

    Damian blinks. “Oh. Well, I do know a Jason that fits that description, but his last name is not Todd.”

    “What the hell is it then?”

    Damian frowns harder. “Al Ghul.”

    And just like that, Bruce’s worldview goes to complete and utter shit.

    Or: Jason decides that if someone has to be a monster in this world’s shadows, it might as well be him. This decision might’ve been influenced by the fact that Talia al Ghul decided to spring her son on him and also gaslight everyone into believing that Jason is her eldest child. Also, he kills his pseudo-grandfather and kind of accidentally becomes the new R’as al Ghul, because by now, he’s way too deep in Talia’s con-shit to back out.

    …It all goes over surprisingly well.

    This is sooooo cool omg. Jason is obviously badass, love that this shows he's smart!
    Even though at first Talia started this to save only Damian and herself, I love that she then actually started seeing Jason as her eldest son. The whole Al Ghul family and League "connections" are complicated, but fun since Jason doesn't tolerate any shit.
    Cass is younger here and she grows close to Damian thanks to Jason. Jay takes care of Ra's after he tried making Damian kill and is now leader of the League of Assassins, gets the title of Ra's Al Ghul.
    He sends Damian and Cass to Gotham. Bruce panics because he has twins (lmao they all think they're twins but cass and damian just hacked to make it look like it).
    After a while Jay goes to Gotham, to make it better for his people/crime alley and to protect his lil siblings. He doesn't kill in Gotham at first bc he doesn't want to make Cass uncomfortable or make her look at him badly since he cares. Cass is Robin here!
    Jason rules the Gotham underworld jejeje, fuck black mask and the penguin.
    Ups it seems neither Damian or Cass knew that Jason wasn't actually Bruce's and Talia's. Whole drama abt after Jason reveal bc he saved Cass from the Joker.
    Drama bc Bruce never knows how to properly express his grief 🙄 so ofc he clashes with Jay.
    It starts to come undone that Jason clearly carries and does too much by himself. He always feels like he has to, since no one protected him or truly took care of what he really needed.

    Jason makes a wish that he could prove to the world that he was a better dad than Bruce. Desiree hears it and now, suddenly he sees three little "adoption bait" boys outside in the dirty alley below his apartment. Upon a light interrogation, he realizes that the boys are Kon-El, Phantom, and his little brother, Tim. What's Jason to do but to bring them into his apartment and feed them and clothe them.

    Then he digs into their files and decides to keep them. He's their dad now.
