He put the child on the counter, safely keeping them away from the edge and went to his previously disregarded hoodie. He didn’t hesitate to rip the sleeve clean off before running back.
The kid looked at him with curiosity as Tommy doused the entire sleeve with water from the sink. He ripped it in half again and put the damp cloth over the kid’s mouth and nose.The kid struggled at first, probably believing he was being waterboarded or some shit before realising that the crap made filter helped them breathe. So the held it up by themselves.

“You spilt the cereal. What’s wrong?”
It didn’t SOUND very concerned but the look on Techno’s face did.Wilbur hadn’t looked up.
“Uhm, yeahhh, sorry! I just hurt my hand last night and yeah” he explained lamely.
“Oh ok-“ His Dad began before being cut off by Techno saying “Are you ok Tommy?”“Mhm, just a burn-“
“A BURN?! Come here, come here” Techno ushered. Tommy went over to him and Techno asked question after question.
“Where was it? When? How? With what? Did you take care of it? Does it hurt? Are you ok?”
That last one seemed the most common with Techno repeating it several times in between each question.___________or________
Tommy has a habit of getting hurt late at night and doesn’t feel he can tell anyone.
Techno, his foster brother of a month or so, thinks he’s an idiot and wants to help.
