The girls are healing together, working through their traumas and trying to continue their work as idols and hunters. It's not always easy, but as long as they have each other, they can get through anything.

Summary
Even though they were driving through a mountainside road at 10 pm, headlights suddenly appeared behind them, it was so random — like they were waiting for the right moment.
Rumi’s eyes snapped into awareness, eyes glancing at the rearview mirror now that she learnt they were no longer alone — her hunter senses seemed to be tingling. Zoey looked up from her game as well because of the sudden brightness reflecting off the side view mirror.
“What’s their problem?” Rumi muttered under her breath, trying not to wake Mira. Her eyes stayed on the mirror, she could barely make out a figure in the driver’s seat — blinded by their bright headlights that left spots in her vision.
“They’re riding my ass” Rumi looked back at the closeness of the car.
“I could ride that ass” Zoey commented without looking up from her game, a smirk could be heard in her voice.

Summary
In the forest, Zoey stumbles upon a pink, winged creature. Turns out it's a mythical Harpy, Mira. Zoey takes care of her, before her little friend has to leave.
They meet again after a few years (Zoey's 16, Mira 17). Mira has a new friend, a tortured Harpy who survived lab experiments, Rumi.

Summary
Zoey finally speaks numbly, eyes staring a million miles away. "She thinks we're leaving her here. She thinks we'd do that to her."
Mira face turns deathly pale and her eyes widen.
"Why would you think-?"
"Oh, why wouldn't she, Mira?!" Zoey snaps, a nasty edge to her voice.
The silence that follows last a solid minute before Mira takes a deep breath and pulls the cooler and three suitcases out of the trunk.
"We are all staying here until we sort ourselves out. and then we are ALL returning to the penthouse, hopefully able to look one another in the eye again. Got it!? Great. Now, considering neither of you can drive, I suggest we go inside. Now."
Chapter 2 got Angsty. I'm not sorry.

Summary
Here's the problem, Mira loves adorable things it’s, like, the one snag in the bad girl, problem child persona she’s carefully cultivated. (Its not her fault no one thinks a bad bitch can fuck with Hello Kitty and treat the finale of MLPFIM like it's the Olympics.) So this, this being the teensy fairy princess that gets out of the backseat, is goddamn inconvinient. She's literally only just managed to figure out how to deal with the insane sexual tension rivalry bullshit she and Rumi (gorgeous, ethereal, hyper-competent, princess, fucking prissy ass mothe-) have going on. She doesn't fucking need this right now.

Summary
Zoey giggled and nuzzled impossibly closer. Rumi could feel her rub her cheek against the side of her neck—where her scent gland would be—and sniff the area. The action tickled the sensitive skin and sent a pleasant shudder down her spine. In the back of her mind, Rumi vaguely registered how the need to itch the area lessened.
Zoey paused and leaned back to look at Rumi. A curious look crossed her face, and Rumi raised one eyebrow in question.
“You kinda smell different,” Zoey simply stated. There were no teasing undertones in that sentence, just a factual finality.
OR
Rumi had spent her entire life believing that she was a beta. Why wouldn't she considering she never presented as anything else. However, as it turns out, training to be an idol and demon hunter while carrying the responsibility of fixing the Honmoon since she was young can be stress inducing.
When things finally settle down after they create the new Honmoon, Rumi begins to notice subtle changes--her scent, smells, and behaviors. A reluctant visit to the doctor reveals that she's finally presenting as an omega. Rumi has a crisis while Mira and Zoey try not to freak out.
