Summary
Dean Winchester and his brother Sam moved to the east coast to try their hand at the hustle and bustle of the city. Leaving their precarious and somewhat confusing past behind has been the best decision they ever made - that is, until the local mafia sets their sights on them. In order to protect Sam, Dean allows himself to be recruited into Castiel Krushnic's unconventional mob. There's something strange about the boss, though. Dean can't quite put his finger on it.
That doesn't make him want to punch him in the face any less.
Men are going missing throughout the city, and Castiel swears he'll get to the bottom of it. Dean, blackmailed into loyalty, has no choice but to follow Castiel on the ensuing chaotic journey to save innocent civilians.
For the record, Dean still wants to punch the asshole in the face. But hey, he'll do his best to save the world, first.

When he takes a chance and goes to a town called Amity, he’s met by Enjolras, who’s willing to share a home with him and teach him the work of the farm, but his heart is closed, and they’re wed in name only. Amity is full of friends and outlaws alike, and Grantaire thinks this might finally be a place where he can belong, but it’s hard for it to feel like a home when his husband won’t touch him, and the outlaws are a threat that grows with every passing day. If he can’t help keep Amity safe, and convince Enjolras that loving him is worth the risk, he might lose the only home he’s ever really had.

Furiosa looks at him with contempt and threatens to shoot him if he so much as breathes on the Wives, so she won't work for him because she isn't looking for a follower. Max is the closest thing to Immorten Joe around as far as Nux is concerned.Cue Nux deferring to Max, trying to clean his boots, giving him the best bits of scavenged food, trying to cuddle for body warmth in the desert night, offering to suck him off in the mornings, etc.
Whether Max is just amused or takes Nux up on his offers of sexual service is up to the author."

This is an AU where everything is the same, except Nux lives.
After the events on the fury road, Max had returned to the wasteland, still searching for his better self. He still made periodic visits to the Citadel to check up on the progress of Furiosa and the Wives, always making sure that they had enough supplies and that the war boys were staying in line. Nux always looked forward to his visit, since Max had a habit of bringing back gifts for them. They were always small, useful things, but were much appreciated by everyone.

Nux gets thrown from his rig and lost in the sand. His lancer is certain he's alive. His lancer is determined to get him back.
