Uenoyama lowers his head a little. “You—” It comes out almost between his teeth, like he’s gritting it out. “You’re really sticking with Kaji-san lately.”
Is that bad? Does that mean he is angry? Does that mean Mafuyu made him angry?
“That’s—”
Uenoyama whirls around, lodging Mafuyu’s words in his throat. He flinches by accident, just because Uenoyama is so close, and Mafuyu expects there to be a hand, next, coming just as fast.
He wishes the antidepressants were working, because he’s feeling the wrong things, right now. He’s feeling scared.
He’s not supposed to be scared around Uenoyama. He’s not supposed to be scared of Uenoyama.
“You really think I wouldn’t be angry?” Uenoyama demands. His eyes narrow, unfriendly and accusatory.

Or Shouto gets hit by a de-aging Quirk while on patrol, Katsuki takes care of his mini boyfriend.

“Okay.” Pacifica paused for a moment, almost hesitant. But still, she spoke, “I want to have a sleepover. With you.” Another pause. “Uh. Now.”

It was clear as day—Toya was sleepwalking. Akito should have realized it much sooner, especially with the way Toya's eyes were barely open and the nonsensical things he was saying. He knew he would definitely tease Toya about this once he came to his senses.
“Listen, Haruka, you don’t understand! Akito is out there, and he has my cat! So you have to… move aside…” Grumbling, Toya tried to push him away, but it felt more like a feather brushing against his skin.
Now, Akito wasn’t really that evil, but he did love a little mischief. He had Toya in a great spot—and hey, who doesn’t like teasing their partner? It’s funny, and maybe, just maybe, Akito found his boyfriend’s flustered expression a little cute.

Shouta listened to Hizashi, and despite the many, many, many people in his life to have told him to shut up — his husband had never been one of them. And while of course he had his bad days where he found himself unsure if he'd even be able to open his mouth let alone keep up the happy-go-lucky attitude he normally exhibited. He also had Shouta at his side with his open hands and gentle demeanor that never failed to reassure Hizashi that he was loved and so was his voice.
So maybe that was why it was so surprising when Shouta finally did say the words he'd never expected from him.
(Or, Hizashi does not handle being told to shut up well.)
