That was the first feeling. Complete, utter, engulfing dread. A weight buried so deep in his back, rooting his feet in spot as a hand hovered helplessly over the teleport confirmation.
Because that laughter- oh that laughter. A haunting comfort in his nightmares at the best of times.
"There's- theres no way. Why is-?!" Elliots voice cut through, the rest of this forsaken group crowded around as a new face stepped foot onto the field. Sinister shadow and binary code slowly escaping their tattered body. "He should be-!"
"Dead? Why how could you, pizza boy~!"

They bobbled their head, tagging alongside her shirt hem. At the junction, they noticed a familiar sight, Barney. They let go, Nurse wasn’t aware of Intern straying off and prolonged their travel. There was this frustrated expression on his face before he detected Intern. Barney double-checked, waving their hand inwards. They hesitated to walk over, Barney was moving towards them at the very same time—extending their hand out, they reached out once they were closer.
