Comment: “Ugh this is So Good I’m obsessed. I was enthralled with the setup of Aerion’s ego being usurped by fear from the assassination attempt. But then the entire work was so well executed, Aerion’s personality change was enough to be significant, while still feeling familiar enough to not be completely alien. It was still him, just with more internal conflict and self-doubt. I so thoroughly enjoyed reading this, by far the highest caliber work I’ve read so far in the Dunkaerion tag. Such a fun and heartwarming read.
Wally is sent to Bart’s apocalyptic future when he disappears in s2. He rescues Bart from the Reach, so that Bart can rescue the timeline. Heartwarming family bonding in the future + Detective Dick Grayson in the present.
One of my favorite Bart featured fics to date, though it is more Wally-centric.

Fantastic writing that was expertly poetic without being hyperbolic or self aggrandizing like purple prose. Really phenomenal handle on character and internal monologues & thought process.
Liam, Theo, and Nolan’s POVs were all wonderfully handled. But I was also really impressed with Corey (in Liam’s POV). There’s one scene in particular I loved but he’s also just a core part of the fic & written well. There’s another little moment with Mason (again from Liam’s POV) that’s lovely.
Author’s handle on interpersonal relationships is impressive. How characters think and then how they behave because of it. They also do a great job of subverting expectations without being disconcerting.
Actual plot is great too. Not a massive action adventure but still high stakes & some consequences and difficulties with those stakes. An interesting story where I was genuinely surprised and shook by things that happened.
Has a few great moments of Liam witnessing Theo’s humanity & it causing turmoil cause he’s still trying to convince himself Theo is bad.
I also didn’t expect to enjoy Nolan as much as I did, he’s usually not a character I’m particularly interested in but was handled well. Fic really acknowledges his role as the pawn by both sides of the war.
Definitely heed the Trigger Warnings though.

(Referenced rape. Manipulation: love bombing, coercion, gaslighting, diminishing, infantilizing, threats).Plus canon-typical stuff w/ violence, kidnapping & torture, Theo’s homelessness, trauma, injury & stunted healing, self-loathing etc.
I think the two TW to be cautious of a really the relationship abuse one & the hallucinations as both are fairly graphic and central to sections of the fic.
It’s a great fic though, as this essay probably shows.

absolutely incredible story
The character development throughout this story was phenomenal. Does a great job of bringing characters from Point A to Point B without forcing change too quickly, or making too dramatic of shifts. Crosshair and Tech in particular were just so well done.
I loved getting to see their journeys here and then also being able to so clearly see how these kids could get to the people they are when we see them in CW & TBB.
With Crosshair I feel like I often am asking how he became the way he is and why he makes the choices he does in the show. The arc here, sets a brilliant backstory that answers those questions. It offers so much insight to him and how he gets where he is in TBB whilst only barely touching on that era right at the end.
All the OC’s were wonderful, well done, and not too much. I usually can’t stand non-canon characters, but I cared for the ones introduced in this story just as much as the Batch (almost).
This whole fic was just phenomenal, and I’m so glad I took the time to sit down and read despite the daunting word count. It took me the day, but it was so freaking worth it.
Definitely a new favorite fic of mine if this raving wasn't clear enough.

Absolutely brilliant Hogwarts Au
Very VERY slow burn romance but the friendship is great & the actual plot & world building beyond Hogwarts is amazing & lowkey better than JoKer Racist’s bs.
I will have a heart attack if it updates, I’m not even in this fandom anymore and I think about this fic all the time wishing it was completed.

Absolutely adore this fic, I’ve reread many times.
It’s everything that Merlin could’ve been and wasn’t and it filled a hole in my heart left by that show that I didn’t know was there.
I’d recommend it to Merlin fans even if they’re not DNFers it’s so lovely and familiar.
The development of both George and Dream was so well done. I love how dnf don’t shy away from their anger or become shallow for it.
It’s so rare to find a fic that acknowledges characters weaknesses without making it A) a pity party or B) a miraculous and sudden change of heart.
One of my absolute favorite fics to date.
