Summary
A worldbuilding and reference guide for my Aramán dæmon AU, "The Measure of a Soul." It's not needed to enjoy the series, but it has some fun explanations of why I made the worldbuilding and character choices that I did. This guide will update as I post more of the series.

Summary
I don't understand what this means. It's a mythic story--something out of legend. Out of the Shapers' War. Secret weapons. Masked players who killed a trickster god. I don't know how it fits into everyday life. I don't know how it fits into my kitchen.
“Are you in trouble?” I ask.
“What a question,” Bolaire mutters, looking to the side. “Am I in trouble? I suppose I'm not in any new sort of trouble.”
“So you're in old trouble,” I say.
“Living as a perpetual lie involves a certain amount of ongoing trouble,” he says. “That's the nature of the beast.”

Summary
Bolaire's insurance plan is simple: if he can't be unobtrusive, be useful. After the explosive reveal of his true nature, he has a lot to make up for, and is willing to try anything to get back in the good graces of the group. It just takes one spell to split sensation between two people, but you know what they say about looking into the void.
I refuse to believe Tal made a sentient evil mask that controls people's bodies and didn't consider the voyeurism angle.
