Summary
There were a great many odd things about the interview Alfred gave at Wayne Manor.
Perhaps the oddest was that the interview had begun while sharing a cell with Thomas Wayne, the lord of the house, and the heir to one of Gotham’s richest and oldest families.
He carried himself in a way that suggested that to anyone, whether they knew of the family’s renown or didn’t. And that was the only reason that Alfred, sulking in the corner of a disgusting holding cell in a corrupt station, bothered to listen to the man’s job offer.
“I’ve never been a butler.” Alfred had mildly protested, half-convinced the job offer was fake anyways. Who needed a butler in this modern age?
But Thomas’s eyes had merely glinted with amusement, undeterred. “You’ll learn.”

Summary
Alfred arches under the gentle touch trailing down his abdomen, rocks into the fingers that catch on the waistband of his slacks. His mind is hazy with the remnants of the bottle of whiskey they shared and despite Martha's protestations, the room smells vaguely of cigarettes. Steady fingers find his belt, slowly begin to unfasten it, and God, he's already aching. Nothing in him thought he'd end up here. No amount of fantasizing, no number of times waking up from dreams that hedged on this, could have prepared him for the reality of the offer tipping off of Thomas' lips.

Bernard pops the top off his water bottle, a roll of his wrist at the perfect angle and it comes right off, and pops the faucet in Tim’s very nice kitchen to cold. Tim presses a kiss to the back of Bernard’s neck before Tim moves to the fridge to get his own water.
Bernard used to not drink as much water, but Tim drinks enough water for three people a day so Bernard naturally has followed- and now Bernard has no acne so he’s sort of mad about it actually. “The main character has two hands.” Bernard chimes easy and teasing. “Polygamy is the awnser here babe.”
Tim peaks over the door of the fridge. “Oh? Is this you telling me something?”

In the grand scheme of things, seeing Roy cheerfully walk out the door wasn’t that painful. It didn’t hurt as much as dying. It didn’t hurt as much as coming back. Still, Jason didn’t actually like pain, and he knew if he gently demurred the next time, Roy would hear him. It was the smart thing to do, and that was why he already knew he would never, ever do it.
Roy shifted in his sleep, pressing closer to Jason, his strong arm slung heavy over Jason’s waist, his chest a furnace against Jason’s back. This was a bad idea. It had always been a bad idea, and it would be an even worse one in the morning.
But for now, Jason was warm.
