Summary
A piece of a different puzzle, an outsider on the inside; Quackity is the one left behind without warning. He always has been.
(Three instances in which Quackity was the odd third man in a duo + accepted ways of life he’s never been able to live by.)
-
In the end, Quackity stands alone on the floating dirt pile that is El Rapids. Power lies in capable hands and his shake as he levels the place he used to call home.

Summary
Tommy stares between the three familiar faces. “Is this heaven or hell?”
“Both.” Schlatt exhales a plume of sapphire smoke. He coughs.
“Neither,” says Mexican Dream. He makes a crease in the ace of spades.
“What are you talking about?” laughs Wilbur, “I swear this is just my hotdog stand.”

Summary
He feels like he’s floating. The days since Schlatt has died feel blurry and out of synch, as if the amount of hours in a day seem to change and the idea of reality is a myth in itself.
It’s weird, being in limbo.
Limbo doesn’t leave him, not when Tommy is exiled, not when Karl first hugs him to his chest, not when Tubbo first tells him to stop, and not even when Technoblade puts a pickaxe straight through his teeth.

Alternatively: Quackity reflects on Schlatt's death and the crater of L'manberg.

Summary
At this point, it's only a matter of time before Phil goes off to join Technoblade wherever he’s retired to.
Because that’s the thing, Tubbo thinks as the Butcher Army stands around a table. Phil has always favored Techno. Brutally honest, painfully consistent Technoblade. He says he hates the government, so of course he destroyed a nation. You can’t blame the rain for being wet. It’s just nature. Technoblade never betrayed L’Manberg, Phil believes, because he wasn’t there. Sure, he saw the explosions and the withers, but he wasn’t there for the cold nights in Pogtopia and fireworks in his lungs and for Tubbo physically forcing himself to look away from Techno’s hands- to stop waiting for them to tighten around the trigger of a rocket launcher he was not holding.
Tubbo doesn’t think he hates Technoblade. Phil is right- it was always going to end the way it did. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t scared. He understands Technoblade, and what it means to be loyal to an ideal; that is exactly why Tubbo is so afraid of him.
